FT. LAUDERDALE -- A South Florida kite surfer has met his match.
Kevin Kearney, 26, was trying to have fun with Fay Monday, but his plans flopped and came to a crashing end. The Ft. Lauderdale man was harnessed into his sail, when the wind picked him up and slammed him onto the beach.
Then, he was dragged across the sand, before being lifted up into the air again and blown across the street where the wind slammed him into a building.
He was taken to Broward General Medical Center and was listed in criitical condition. He is expected to recover.
